Location: Chiang Mai, Thailand | Travel: 30% of working Time | Status: Independent Contractor
Are you a MEL professional passionate about making a difference? REACH for Equity is seeking a MEL Manager (Independent Contractor) who will be based in Chiang Mai and is responsible for designing and implementing robust monitoring and evaluation systems to assess the effectiveness and impacts of the emergency response and humanitarian programs. This position will report to Head of MEL.
What We’re Looking For:
- A Master’s level or equivalent in development studies, sociology, humanitarian action, economics, project management, or other relevant qualification.
- Over five years of hands-on experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning within health, humanitarian, livelihood, development, or governance programs, showcasing a proven track record in implementing effective M&E systems.
- Extensive expertise in designing and implementing both quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods.
- Strong research skills, including experience in implementation research, outcome harvesting, and conducting comprehensive needs assessments.
- Demonstrated skill in producing high-quality reports and presenting monitoring data and evaluation findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Proficient in developing mobile data collection tools like ODK or or Kobo.
- Skilled in statistical analysis with a strong command of quantitative analysis software such as Excel, R, Python, Stata, or SPSS.
- Familiarity with geo-information analysis using QGIS and qualitative analysis using Atlas ti./NVivo is an additional asset.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Quick adaptability to comprehend local, cultural and political contexts.
